| A collection of 'Royal Dragoons' memorabilia c1960s |
The photos taken at the El Alemain cemetery were taken by 'Doug Best' when he finally managed
to make a visit there in 2005.............Previous attempts had failed because of Border Controls with Egypt, during the 70s
and 80s.
I think you will agree, that this is a unique achievement on behalf of one families contribution
to the history of The Royal Dragoons...............And one that the whole family can be most proud of.
These members of the 'Best' family have served in times of both War and Peace.....and have served
the Regiment in all theatres from UK, Europe, India, Africa, Middle East and Far East.
It is for this reason, I try to keep this website alive, and attempt to record as much information
about the members of this fine Regiment......before it is gone forever.
