I am indebted to the Family of 'Bert Butterworth' for the following submissions: SSM Gilbert (Bert)
Butterworth served with the 1st The Royal Dragoons from 1936 until 1949.....his last service in A. Squadron. The following
photos are of A Sqn. Royal Dragoons on the occassion of the Kings Birthday Parade in Berlin. 1949. They are indeed a
treasured find. The family are in contact with me and ask if anyone from that era remember their father and would like
to find out more information on his service: ie: which Squadrons, Troops and theatres of posting he may have had.
All information may be relayed through me.......so come on you old ex-Royals, thinking caps on.
