Reviews Page

Many e-zines include a page or more of reviews of such things as movies, books, television shows, CDs, and so on. Here's a format I might use for my reviews.

Books

Famous Regiments 'The Royal Dragoons'
By R.J.T.Hills

A concise history of 'The Royal Dragoons' from it's formation in 1661 upto it's amalgamation in 1969.

A Pocket History of the Regiments
By Lieut. Charles Lamb

This is a brilliant little book for the avid military enthusiast, it is small and fits neatly into your pocket.  It is a wealth of information about all of the British Regiments and Corps.  It lists approx 125 regiments, giving a short potted history and lists their main battle honours.  Quite old, published in 1916, but well worth owning.

The Eagle
By Gerald Lowthin

This is a cracking read.....based on fact with a little fiction thrown in to make it an absorbing story.  The writer takes you into the thick of it, Waterloo and the aftermath. It takes the reader right through from 1804 to that fateful day on 18th June 1815 and witnesses the taking of the 'Eagle' from the '105th Regiment de Ligne.
